We give thanks to God for the Silver Jubilee of religious profession of our three sisters, who being faithful to Christ’s call which, they received 25 years ago.
On 13th July 2019 three of our sisters Sr. M. Shanty Panamattathil,Sr. M. Laisamma Kalathiparamblil and Sr. M. Daisy Kuriyedan celebrated Silver Jubilee. Two of their companion will be celebrating it in Rome as they belong to the communities in Italy.
The Eucharistic celebration was at 10.30 am. Fr. Saviour OP celebrated the mass. All the parents of the sisters had come to participate in their celebration. There were 7 priests from neighboring congregation and sisters also were present. Sisters and candidates had come from different communities to participate in the thanksgiving celebration.
The theme chosen for their Silver Jubilee Eucharistic Celebration is:
25 years of journeying under the shadow of His wings.
When they turn back to their religious life, they are treasuring it as a journey in love with Jesus. In spite of all their obstacles and challenges, the journey was a good one because Jesus was there to navigate their journey, always showing them the light when they were tumbling and protecting them under the shadow of His wings.
LOOKING BACK the last 25 years have been a journey of discovery and wonder. I realized now, how little I knew then and how much less I know now about the wonder and unfolding of life experiences. I have encountered the most wonderful people along the way. God had a way of sending people – just when I needed them most. My 21 years in Palamaner have been the most significant part of my life. After completing my studies in 1998, I went to Elena Bettini Convent in Palamaner. I was assigned to Elena Bettini E.M School. I was ready to take on the world and I gradually learned the world had taken me on and I learned many lessons through various life experiences. The sisters with whom I have lived with have been the greatest blessing to me. The concern of my family, and friends have supported me and had it possible for me to do what I had to do. My journey with Christ has been the constant throughout these years and I pray our relationship grows deeper and deeper. As I celebrate my 25 years of total dedication to God as a FDP Sister with great joy and thanksgiving, I thank God for the many people who have been part of my journey. “Therefore hold back nothing of yourself for yourself, so that he who gives himself totally to you may receive you totally.”
