First profession 2020

The Daughters of Divine Providence, celebrated the First Profession of the four novices – Sr. M. Amulya, Sr. M. Sabitha, Sr. M. Militha and Sr. M. Jesitha on June 13th 2020. The Eucharistic celebration was held at Carmalarem in Providence Nilaya . We are grateful for the presence of Fr. Subash, Barnabite as the celebrant. Due to the Pandemic of COVID19 the novices’ parents and all the people from outside could not participate in it.

The excitement and joy of the occasion were not dampened by the COVID19. As we sisters and candidates from Bangalore communities made their way to chapel, and their parents were also present through Google videos, the smiles and Congratulations were seen and heard everywhere.  It was truly a grace-filled day for all present.  How wonderful it was to experience once again the memory and joy of that special day in each of the sisters’ lives when she gave herself to God in the profession of religious vows! This was the day the Lord has made – truly it was – and there was reason to rejoice.

The high lights of the day was the novices coming in their Saris and receiving their religious habits from the Regional Superior Sr. Mary Thumbalan with great joy and receiving of the newly-professed Sister’s Vows. When the moments finally arrived each of the newly professed went up to the regional superior and placing their hand declaring their religious vows Obedience, Chastity and Poverty.

We congratulate our Sisters and assure them of our prayers as they leave for their new missions.  We hope that they may find joy and fulfillment as well as receive many blessings as they give themselves to the service of God and His Church!
