Our dream of having a senior citizen home in Paripalana Bhavan came true on 7th October, the day of feast of our Lady of Rosary with the thanksgiving holy mass and blessing ceremony. The regional team and most of the sisters from the region were present for the historic celebration. Rev.Fr.Lukos Kunnathoor, Angamaly forona vicar was main celebrant for the holy mass. The priests and sisters from neighboring communities, family members of our sisters, representatives of the parishioners, our neighbors and friends were also present to share our joy and pray for us. During the mass Sr.Saly the superior, thanked God, our Provident Father for enabling us to have this beautiful home to start our apostolate of caring the aged people and we also were grateful to all the workers who built this home so beautifully. Though climate was so unfavorable, God made it favorably to go everything so smooth to complete the construction.
After the mass we had the official opening ceremony of cutting the ribbon and opening the main door of the newly built senior citizen home by the regional superior Sr. Shanty Panamattatil which was followed by the lighting of seven the lamps symbolizing the e fullness of God`s presence. Rev. Fr.Francis Kavalipadin our parish priest, and Rev. Fr. Sebastian Urakkadan who helped us to purchase this land and build the Paripalana Bhaban blessed the Home .Then we had a short felicitation program in the Bettini hall where Sr. Shanty our regional superior thanked all those were involved in the construction work and gave a token of appreciation for the wonderful t work hey have done. Then the fellowship meal was served. All enjoyed it and was very happy and expressed their gratitude and best wishes for the mission. Our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy to the Lord for having entrusted us with a new mission. We completely trust in the Providence who is the provider of everything. We believe that providence would never fail us. Thanks be to God Almighty.
