Helena Convent
Helena Convent is the first Mission House of Daughters of Divine Providence in India. It was Blessed by BishopAruliah on 8th march 1983. It is in the Centre ofPalamaner, one of the main town of Chittoor ( Dt) in Andrapradesh . The sisters could open out a vast field of charity like visiting the sick, assisting in the Parish Ministry, distributing medicine, teaching children and instructing women for a dignified life.
Apostolic Activities
Following the example of Mother Elena Bettini, the sisters are taking care of the sick by opening the Dispensary. In the villages the children are deprived of basic education. So the sisters started a tuition Centre in Neerlakuntha village on July 24th in 1998.Almost 120 children are frequenting the evening classes. “What so ever you do to the least of my brothers that you do unto me”. Trusting in these words of Jesus the sisters take care of the leprosy colony. Take care of the children and their education and their health.Mid day meal is providing for the under privileged , the lepers, destitute and the sick. Helena Sisters offer their selfless and dedicated service in all the Parish activities.
