24th June 2022on the day of Sacred heart of Jesus witnessed the joyful occasion of the entry of 2 postulants C.Baby Angel and Sibirna Kalko into novitiate. A prayer service was conducted at 3.30p.m. in honour of them. The theme of the prayer was “come follow me”. God doesn’t call the qualified but qualifies the called. Jesus called the fishermen from the least of the community and trained them to be His to send out to the world. So it is highlighted novitiate is the time to intimate with Him by knowing and experiencing Him and build a strong relationship with Him.
All gathered in the Providence Nilaya Chapel to pray and seek the blessings from God upon the postulants who would be vested soon. Rev. Fr. Robin Claritian was there to preside over the prayer and bless the novices. The newly vested novices came forward joining the hands, symbolizing their readiness and surrendering themselves in the hands of the Lord.
Sr. Mary the Regional Superior examined their desire and expectation of the postulants in joining us. They expressed their wish to live the way of life and to be tested by us so that they may be admitted to the religious community of Daughters of Divine Providence. They have given the medal Cross symbolizing Jesus crucified and office book the “Liturgy of the hours”.
The sisters who were present welcomed them to our congregation. Fr. Gave a short message to the novices inspiring them to experience the stillness deep within and grow in deeper relationship with the Lord in the two years of their Novitiate life supported and guided by their mistress.
The prayer service ended thanking and praising God and entrusting these novices in the hands of Mother Mary our protector and sing the Hymn “I will sing hymn to Mary”.
